Real Madrid have confirmed their
first signing for 2026. The club
believes that Nico Paz’s return is
now finalized. The
announcement comes after
reports from Spain suggested
that an agreement is in place.
Paz is an Argentina international.
He left Real Madrid in 2024 to
join Como. The transfer fee at
that time was €6 million. Real
Madrid included a buy-back
clause in the deal. This clause
allows them to bring Paz back at
a later date.
The buy-back fee is €9 million if
Real Madrid act next summer.
The fee will rise to €10 million if
they wait until 2027. Spanish
media outlet Fichajes reports
that the club is confident Paz will
return. Real Madrid plan to
complete the final details of his
contract soon. The 21-year-old
will be officially announced after
the current season ends.
Paz had an impressive debut
season at Como. He recorded 15
goal contributions in 35
appearances last year. This
season, he has already scored
five goals and provided five
assists in 15 Serie A games. He
has excelled under the
management of Cesc Fabregas.
Several Premier League clubs
have shown interest in Paz.
Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham
Hotspur have all monitored his
progress. Despite this, Paz aims
to return to Real Madrid. He
hopes to establish himself as a
key player for Los Blancos.
Real Madrid are planning squad
changes to accommodate Paz.
Some players have been linked
with exits in 2026. Vinicius Junior
and Rodrygo may leave amid
reported tensions with head
coach Xabi Alonso. Brahim Diaz is
also likely to depart due to Paz’s
arrival. Endrick has already been
loaned to Lyon for the rest of
the season. The move was made
because he has had limited
playing time this term.
